Art Award for "Rag Curls"

Last night at Maple Grove Arts Center I won an award at the juried art show I'm participating in. It was for "Best Art Reflecting Minnesota." Thanks to everyone who stopped by to offer support. The painting I received the award for is "Rag Curls."  It is in my online gallery under the paintings and prints tab.  My friend who is in the painting was delighted with the news last night and as I spoke with her we contemplated how quickly time passes.   Was it so long ago since we were putting rag curls in our hair?  I doesn't seem so.
